Mission: Through the sale of wearable art, create and showcase local artist's work as they interpret the mission of their favorite charity, raise funds and awareness and foster an environment where working artists can receive funding for continuing their artistic endeavors in New Orleans.

Pop City T-Shirt Project is creating wearable art through collaborations with New Orleans based artists. The sale of these limited edition shirts will generate proceeds both for an artist grant fund and the New Orleans based charity selected by the artist. The goal for the Pop City T-Shirt project is to generate $12,000 in both charitable donations and artist grant funding over the next 12 months.

Each Pop City T-Shirt will be a unique representation of the artist work available in limited editions of 50 priced at $50.00 each. $20.00 of the sale of each shirt will go directly to the charity. $20.00 will go into a grant fund for the working artist. $10.00 will be used to fund the cost of the shirt.

LASPCA and Christopher Morrison Slave:

Christopher Morrison-Slave has created the premier edition shirt and selected the SPCA as his charity. Currently both Chris' shirt and his current collection Adventures in Da Quarters - French Quarter Inspired Paintings are on display at Pop City, 1127 Decatur Street.

Mr. Gordin and Ms. Findley have been creating and selling t-shirts in New Orleans for many years. Residents in the Marigny and Bywater neighborhoods, they are permanent residents of New Orleans. They own small businesses in both the French Quarter and Uptown areas of New Orleans.

With the opening of their new venture, Pop City, Mr. Gordin and Ms. Findley founded this collaboration to create a unique opportunity to reach out to the greater New Orleans community of artists and charities to generate action, interest, funding and wearable art with a purpose.
